I potted on the Ipomoea nil Tokiwayama plant yesterday. It had a very strong and dark purply hypocotyl. It was one of the most robust plants of the group I planted yesterday. It clearly wants to grow and put on a show in its new home so far from Japan. I also planted about half of my young plants. I ran out of sunlight and energy or I would have gotten them all potted. I put to use the home grown worm castings in the hole. I used a handful of the worm poop in the bottom of the hole and after I placed the plant I added another layer of castings. That way there will be all those beneficial microbes will be in the root zone.
