Darold Decker's 'Darling' (Ipomoea nil)

Via Flickr:
Darold Decker was a morning glory breeder of many varieties of Ipomoea tricolor commonly seen in the horticultural trade. I have the distinct honor to grow one Decker's Ipomoea nil varieties, his 'Darling' morning glory, a diminutive purple angel. The seed that germinated and grew into this lovely plant was about 60 years old (yes, sixty!) So do not be shy about attempting to grow out ancient MG seeds because if the seed was stored dry in cool environment it can, come to life for you. :-)
